Coverage Recap: Kanha Cannabis Gummies x HBO Close Enough

As July comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the Kanha x HBO Close Enough partnership that had everyone talking! Shortly after announcing these limited edition gummies inspired by the personalities of the show’s four main characters, outlets both big and small, cannabis and non-cannabis, jumped on the chance to cover this breaking news. Both Kanha fans and Close Enough fans showed unwavering support over this industry-disrupting collaboration, some even taking to social media to share their excitement. They couldn’t wait to try all four gummies and expressed optimism about a media giant like HBO breaking into the cannabis space with the hope that it would help to further legitimize the industry. After a robust PR campaign that included influencer partnerships with Koala Puffs, That High Couple, and That’s Bizzy in addition to targeted press outreach, we were able to garner fabulous coverage across the board including pieces in Adweek, Muse by Clio, Merry Jane, Green Entrepreneur, ComicBook.com, and more.

David Gianatasio from Muse by Clio writes, “Sure, you could microwave some popcorn to go with Close Enough, HBO Max’s surreal animated comedy about a married couple, their 5-year-old daughter, assorted neurotic friends, time-traveling snails, stripper clowns and murderous mannequins. But why not dive into the subversive spirit of the series—from J.G. Quintel, creator of the Emmy Award-winning Regular Show—and indulge in cannabis-infused gummies based on Close Enough characters instead?”

Thank you to all of our dispensary partners that helped make this partnership a reality! We can’t wait to see what’s next.
