KANHA Treats Digital Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: February, 2026

Sunderstorm, Inc., operating the KANHA Treats brand, is committed to ensuring that our digital properties, including our website at https://kanhatreats.com/, mobile experiences, and online services, are accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal and full access to information and services, and we are actively working to meet that standard.

This Accessibility Statement applies to the KANHA Treats website located at https://kanhatreats.com/ (the “Site”). It reflects our ongoing commitment to digital accessibility, our current conformance status, and the steps we are taking to continuously improve the accessibility of our digital properties.

Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following legal authorities and standards:

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Title III, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in places of public accommodation, which courts have increasingly interpreted to include commercial websites
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, to the extent applicable
  • California Unruh Civil Rights Act (California Civil Code Section 51 et seq.), which broadly prohibits disability-based discrimination and provides independent claims for ADA violations under California law
  • The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which serve as the industry-recognized technical standard for digital accessibility

We note that the DOJ has issued final rules under Title II of the ADA (effective April 2026) requiring conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA for state and local government websites, and we are monitoring developments under Title III to ensure our practices remain current with evolving legal requirements.

KANHA Treats is committed to conforming with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards to the greatest extent reasonably feasible. WCAG 2.1 success criteria are organized around four core principles:

Principle

Description

Perceivable

Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.

Operable

User interface components and navigation must be operable.

Understandable

Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.

Robust

Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

We acknowledge that some portions of the Site may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to identify and remediate any gaps. A full audit of our Site against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria is conducted at least annually, with targeted remediation completed on a rolling basis.

We have implemented the following accessibility features on our Site:
Navigation and Keyboard Access
  • All interactive elements, including navigation menus, forms, buttons, and links, are accessible via keyboard navigation without requiring a mouse
  • Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements to assist keyboard and switch device users
  • Logical and consistent tab order is maintained throughout all pages
  • Skip navigation links are implemented to allow screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation elements
Screen Reader Compatibility
  • All images, icons, and non-text content include descriptive alternative text (alt text) in compliance with WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.1.1
  • Page titles are descriptive and unique to each page
  • Form fields include programmatic labels and instructions
  • Error messages are clearly communicated to assistive technology users
  • ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) landmark roles are used to identify key page regions
Visual Design and Readability
  • Color contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text; 3:1 for large text and user interface components)
  • Text content can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality or content
  • Color is not used as the sole means of conveying information
  • We avoid the use of flashing content that could trigger photosensitive seizures (no content flashes more than 3 times per second)
Multimedia
  • Video content includes closed captions
  • Audio content includes transcripts
  • Auto-playing media includes accessible controls to pause, stop, or mute
Forms and Interactive Features
  • All forms include clearly labeled fields with instructions
  • Error identification is specific, clear, and provides suggested corrections where possible
  • Age verification and checkout processes are designed to be accessible to screen reader and keyboard-only users
  • Time limits for form completion, where present, include accessible mechanisms to extend the time limit
Mobile and Responsive Accessibility
  • The Site is responsive and accessible on mobile devices
  • Touch targets meet minimum size requirements
  • Content does not require horizontal scrolling at standard viewport widths
  • The Site is operable in both portrait and landscape orientations

Our Site may include content, tools, or services provided by third parties, including payment processors, age verification tools, social media plugins, mapping services, and analytics providers. While we make reasonable efforts to select third-party vendors who meet our accessibility standards and contractually require accessibility compliance, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of all third-party content or linked external websites.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on a third-party component embedded in our Site, please contact us using the information below so we can work with the vendor to address the issue or provide an accessible alternative.

Links to third-party websites are provided for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for the accessibility practices of external websites.

Annual Accessibility Audits
We conduct a comprehensive accessibility audit of our Site at least once per calendar year. Audits include automated accessibility scanning and manual testing by accessibility specialists using common assistive technologies, including screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) on desktop and mobile platforms.
Remediation Process
Accessibility issues identified during audits or reported by users are prioritized for remediation based on severity and impact. Critical barriers that prevent task completion are addressed within 30 business days of identification. Lower-priority issues are addressed in our standard product release cycle. We maintain an internal accessibility remediation log and track progress against identified issues.
Developer Training
Our development and design teams receive training on accessibility requirements and WCAG 2.1 standards. Accessibility review is incorporated into our standard quality assurance process for all new features and significant site updates.
User Testing
We periodically conduct accessibility user testing with individuals who use assistive technologies to gain direct feedback on the accessibility of our Site and services.

We are aware of the following known accessibility limitations on our Site and are actively working to resolve them:
